The Third Stage group does not invest in, or take stakes in other companies.
What we do in the venture arena is:
- Due Diligence: We are able to complete detailed due diligence work, both technical and commercial on acquisition targets. This is possible through our virtual team approach, and we have completed work in this arena on behalf of companies as diverse as a major Telecommunications handset supplier, and as small as potential investors in mobile applications start-ups.
- Introductory consultancy: through our network we are able to run 'introducer days' where we can invite known representatives from major companies in to meet start-ups. This is contingent on the start-ups having products of sufficient quality to be attractive to the major company representatives. Outcomes are decided by the parties after short presentations and discussions, and may include take-up of the start-ups products, purchase of the start-up or other commercial arrangements.
